grrrrr…

We got about 5-6″ of snow today.  Me=not so happy about it.  It was still light out when I left work today and it was dark when I eventually made it home…let’s just say not the most fun drive ever.  I’m definitely content staying in tonight…I’m not going out there!

You know spring is close…

…when I get the urge for cold coffee drinks.  I know I have mentioned this before, but if I were to ever have an addiction to anything, it would be  froofy iced-coffee drinks.  Fortunately, I do have enough self-control that I don’t indulge myself in them all that often, but the occasional stop to the [...]

Where?

I believe only in the United States could you have the neighbors that we do.  The father is a Somali man and his wife is from somewhere in Southeast Asia.  I believe the oldest child is hers from a previous relationship and the younger children are theirs together (and, as you can imagine, they are BEAUTIFUL).  [...]

No more lovin’

I’ve been at home all day today, doing some cleaning, laundry, etc…my typical Friday stuff.  In any case, I’ve had KDWB on in the background.  (A couple of my roommates often have dance parties in the kitchen and so it is often the station playing).  I usually don’t change the channel but my one complaint is [...]

xrays

My big excitement of the week is that I had my “one year” xrays yesterday.  What isn’t exciting is that I had to drive up to Duluth for the appointment and back down to Minneapolis in less than 24 hours.  To recap: I drove up to Duluth last Friday, drove back down to Minneapolis on Monday, drove [...]

I’ve spent this past weekend up in Duluth with my parents.  It has been a great relaxing time.  There really is something nice about getting out of S. Minneapolis for a few days and simply being out in the sticks.  I love being in a place where you can’t hear other cars or ambulances rushing by, [...]

fb

I ‘m pretty sure I am one of the seven people in the country who are not on Facebook.  Well, let me qualify that: one of the seven people under 30 who aren’t on Facebook.  And, believe me, I get crap for it…at least one person a day gives me a hard time for not [...]

Praise a Pam!

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I have started working PT as a receptionist at a printing company in Minneapolis. I only go on Tuesdays and Thursdays currently, but that may increase perhaps…we’ll see.  My primary responsibilities are the front desk duties but since I have additional education/experience, the owner is trying to utilize me in [...]

One Year Later

February 9, 2008 began just like any other day and ended unlike any other.  It is crazy for me to think that it has already been a full year since the car accident which, needless to say, changed my plans just a little bit.
I have a little devotional book that I try to read everyday called Streams [...]

The Need to Believe

“You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them.”  ~Michael Jordan
Let me tell you something about me: I don’t love working with databases.  If I could write up the description to my dream job, I would never have to touch a database.  (You caught of course that I said DREAM job, as I am clearly [...]
